Environmental Statement

I love to create art from wood, but I also hope what I do may educate people about forests. There are many different ways forests are managed worldwide, and it is becoming increasingly important for humanity to adopt positive methods for sustaining tree growth for future generations. Here are some links to groups of people who are coming together to make a difference.

A great article on how to oxidize wood. Soaking wood in iron oxide (rust) naturally changes it to a dark color. I have found oxidized walnut to be indistinguishable from even the darkest ebony and I now use it frequently.
